My mad fat diary

Hey guys, be prepared for some randomness in this blog haha.

So I don't know if you've heard of it but there's a new program on E4 called 'My mad fat diary'. I've been watching it and it's the funniest thing I've ever seen! It's about a teenage girl called Raye who has mental health issues, she weighs 16 stone (hence the mad, fat) and in the first episode she had just been released from a psychiatric hospital. It shows what her life is like since leaving and how she's coping. I think you guys will love this program, it brings a funny side to mental health!

I can relate to Raye so much, I am over weight with mental health issues and everything that's happening to her is happening to me too! It makes me laugh about myself lol. So yeah I think you guys should watch it!

Hope everyone's okay, I'm feeling a bit better today hence the cheery post, depression and anxiety are still there but my 'normal' brain is taking front at the minute.

Hey MuffinChops :)

I've already read the book based on it, originally called, My Fat, Mad, Teenager Diary (yep, the words in that order, I'm 99% sure) by Rae Earl - it's actually a publication of her real diary which she wrote in 1989 (true story) It's inspirational, funny, and really helps me whenever I feel down - so I totally recommend it.

Of course. :) I ought to watch the show too.

Well, I'm glad you feel better anyway. Like I say, you know where I am if you need anything. I can relate to a substanual amount of what you're going through.

Gentle Hugs :)

Hi Muffin!

I did not bother to watch this but will set my recorder up to record it next time.

Thanks for the heads up... we all need something to make us smile... glad you are having a good day.

I am feeling crap... migraine, anxiety and poor body health... unable to get GP appointment but still going to keep trying over the next day or so.. need to discuss how I am with her. Consultations over the phone are crap for mental health issues... Starting CBT on Monday am after waiting 8 weeks... anyway from one bad day another good one may come!

rant over!

Have just caught up! It's quite different - confusing as, other than Rae - the characters have different names.

It's still great though :)

Sorry if my last posted didn't make sense I was extremely tired when I wrote it.
